Meet our expert team of therapists and teachers

Theresa Bell (MCSP, HCPC, AACP)
Founder | Physiotherapist | Pilates Instructor

My Story - My path to physiotherapy wasn’t a straight one. After training and working as a professional dancer and teacher, a spinal injury forced me to rethink my future. It was a heart breaking time for me and I understand the loss of not being able to do something you love. Instead of moving into dance teaching, I wanted to help people recover from injuries and return to the activities they love. That decision led me back into education as a mature student, where I completed my A-levels before training in physiotherapy at Brunel University.

My physiotherapy career began at Northwick Park Hospital in London, where I worked until 2001. I then moved to Leicester, joining the team at Leicester General Hospital. In 2003, I founded Body Works Physiotherapy & Pilates along with my husband —a space dedicated to movement, recovery, and well-being.

My Tool-Kit
I bring a blend of physiotherapy, Pilates, and acupuncture to my practice. I first discovered Pilates as a dancer, long before it became mainstream, and I’ve seen its incredible impact on movement and recovery. I am also a great believer in hands on treatment and I love working with people to help them achieve their goals, often taking a holistic and problem-solving approach—putting on my ‘Inspector Clouseau’ hat to think laterally and find creative solutions.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I love staying active. I enjoy walking, boxercise, spin classes and aerial silks—performing acrobatic moves on long swathes of fabric suspended from the ceiling. I also love cooking, exploring new foods, and spending time with my family. I’m a self-confessed foodie and chocoholic. I enjoy cooking, and love nothing more than pouring over recipe books, whilst having a glass of wine or tipple of rum
(although kombucha is my go to drink on a weekday night!).

Joanne Cheyette (MCSP, HCPC, AACP)
Physiotherapist

My Story - I’ve known since I was nine years old that I wanted to be a physiotherapist—though, admittedly, I didn’t fully understand what that meant at the time! I just knew I loved massaging family members, and when someone suggested I’d make a great physio, the idea stuck. As I grew older, I researched the profession and was lucky enough to spend time with the physiotherapy team at Leicester Royal Infirmary. From that moment, I knew I had found the right path for me.

I qualified from the Withington School of Physiotherapy in 1991 and haven’t looked back since. My career has taken me through the NHS, working at Glenfield Hospital and LRI, before running my own successful private practice in Leicester for 17 years.
I’ve been part of the Body Works team since 2017, continuing to do what I love—helping people move and feel better.

My Tool-Kit
With 34 years of experience, I have a well-stocked toolkit that includes acupuncture, electrotherapy, manual therapy, and tailored exercise advice for effective rehabilitation. But beyond the techniques, I believe the most valuable skill I bring to the table is the ability to listen.
A successful treatment session starts with an accurate assessment—understanding both the condition itself and the underlying reasons behind it. I take a hands-on, holistic approach, working closely with my clients to develop the best plan for their recovery.
And just as importantly, I know when physiotherapy isn’t the answer and when to guide someone in the right direction for the help they need.

Beyond the Clinic
Away from work, I’m a wife, mother, and now a proud grandmother. I love playing golf, watching football, and spending time with my family. I also have a creative streak—during lockdown, I completed a diploma in Interior Design, which was a fantastic challenge.
For me, life is all about balance. I love discovering great restaurants, enjoying weekends away with friends and family, and making the most of every moment. And, of course, an occasional tipple and a bit of chocolate are never far away!

Dr Emma Sutton (MCSP, HCPC)
Physiotherapist

My Story I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a physiotherapist. My grandfather had diabetes and underwent a bilateral amputation, and I saw firsthand how physiotherapy transformed his mobility and independence. His physiotherapist was blind, which made the experience even more inspiring. Watching the impact on my grandfather—and the ripple effect on our whole family—sparked my passion for helping people move and live better.

After graduating from The University of the West of England in 2001, I’ve worked in NHS and private clinics in both the UK and New Zealand, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Alongside clinical practice, I’ve pursued research, earning a Master’s in Advanced Practice and a PhD in quality improvement in surgery. In addition to my work within Body Works, I have an associate Professor role at Birmingham University. I love both my roles promoting research innovation and driving standards, with the immediate and meaningful difference physiotherapy can make—without medication or invasive procedures—bringing positive change to people’s lives and their families.

My Tool-Kit
I specialise in the rehabilitation and management of hip and knee conditions, running injuries and prehabilitation (pre surgical treatment and management) and rehabilitation of lower limb surgeries (including total hip and knee replacements). My experience spans hands-on physiotherapy, movement analysis, and research-driven
approaches to recovery. In addition to treating patients, I’m an active researcher, with multiple published studies and involvement in professional bodies at both national and international levels.

Beyond the Clinic
Away from work, I love spending time with my husband and two young children, who keep me on my toes! I enjoy walking and wakeboarding. I’m not naturally drawn to gyms or exercise classes, but you’ll always find me at a Clubbercise session—dancing in a darkened room with glow sticks to 80s and 90s music. My favourite food? Curry, every time!

Siobhan Dandolo (MCSP, HCPC)
Pelvic Health and Mummy MOT Physiotherapist

My Story - My journey into physiotherapy started when I was a child, captivated by the stories my auntie told me about her work as a physiotherapist. The word itself sounded exotic and exciting to me, and the fact that she had moved to Australia only added to the intrigue! As I grew older, I realised that physiotherapy was the perfect fit for my skills and interests, and I never looked back. I trained in Manchester and qualified in 2009, returning home to Leicester to start my career.

Over the years, I’ve worked in both the NHS and private practice, gaining experience in mental health, community care, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I’ve since found my passion in the more specialist area of pelvic health, where I love helping people feel strong, confident, and able to return to the activities they enjoy.

My Tool Kit
For me, physiotherapy is as much about listening as it is about treatment. I believe that being caring and empathetic is one of my greatest tools, especially in the more sensitive areas of physiotherapy that I specialise in. I enjoy getting to know my patients and having meaningful conversations, as I feel this is key to understanding their needs and helping them achieve their goals.
In my role at Body Works, I provide specialist pelvic health physiotherapy, including Mummy MOTs for postnatal recovery. I support women with incontinence, vulvovaginal pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, and safe return to exercise—helping them feel comfortable, strong, and empowered in their bodies.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, my life is busy and full on. I’m married with three children, and we love nothing more than getting outdoors and exploring new places around the UK.
Whether it’s a countryside walk or a family day out, being active together is really important to us.
To keep myself feeling strong, I prioritise exercise every day—usually first thing in the morning before the chaos of family life kicks in! That being said, I’m never one to turn down a good takeaway now and then!

Serife Unsal (MCSP, HCPC, BASRaT)
Physiotherapist

My Story - From competitive tennis, basketball, and volleyball to physiotherapy—it was my own sporting injuries that first introduced me to rehab. After a twisting injury aged 11 in tennis, I experienced the frustration of not being able to compete. Having physiotherapy from a young age sparked a fascination with how the body heals. This later developed into a passion for helping people recover from injury and return to what they love. I earned a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy and a distinction diploma in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.

My career has taken me from working in musculoskeletal injuries and neurology at UHL to supporting boxers, athletes and Turkish Olympic volleyball players with injury prevention and rehab. I’ve also worked extensively with back and knee pain, osteoarthritis, and return-to-sport rehabilitation as well as injury prevention..

My Tool Kit
I specialise in return-to-sport rehabilitation, with a particular focus on ACL injuries. I’ve worked with athletes across a range of sports, including boxing, basketball, martial arts, tennis, football, and volleyball. My approach combines hands-on treatment, sports massage, and taping with a strong focus on injury prevention and goal-setting. I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, regain confidence in their bodies. Ultimately, helping people not just recover but return stronger.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I’m a social butterfly who loves a mix of adventure, creativity, and movement. I’ve been kickboxing for years and can often be found at the gym, hiking, or planning my next trip — I’m always on the lookout for my next destination.
Traveling goes hand in hand with my love of languages, and I’m currently learning Arabic and Spanish. Painting and cooking are other passions of mine, and I make it a mission to bake something new every Sunday and to visit a new gallery every chance I get. Above all, I am a self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast— because what’s life without a great (strong) cup of coffee?

Hannah Molyneaux (MCSP, HCPC)
Physiotherapist

My Story - Having spent much of my childhood as a competitive athlete for Team GB, who frequently sought physiotherapy, I understand firsthand the impact of pain and injury—and the importance of expert guidance in recovery. I had the incredible opportunity to compete across Europe, and I collected plenty of anecdotes from my sporting adventures along the way. These experiences shaped my understanding of rehabilitation and performance, which sparked my passion for helping others return to the activities they love.

This led me to study physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, where I graduated with First-Class Honours. My career began in Lincolnshire before I relocated to Leicester in 2023.

My Tool-Kit
I treat a wide range of pain and injuries, but my particular interests lie in sports rehabilitation, post-operative care, and upper limb conditions. My approach is holistic, combining hands-on treatment with education to ensure long-term success in getting you back to the activities you love. In addition to my evening clinics at Body Works, I work as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS and as an associate physiotherapist for Oadby Wyggs Rugby Club. I am also trained in sports taping and
osteoarthritis management, giving me a broad skill set to provide tailored and effective treatments.

Beyond the Clinic
Sport remains a huge part of my life—I spend much of my free time in the gym and watching football and athletics. I’m a Leicester City fan and even had a family dachshund named Muzzy, after the famous midfielder! I also love to travel and am always on the lookout for recommendations for my next holiday.

Fergus Chalmers (MCSP, HCPC)
Physiotherapist

My Story - Since graduating from the University of Leicester in 2017, I’ve worked in both NHS and private clinics, building a strong foundation in helping people recover from injury, pain, and movement difficulties. I’m a Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist specialising in helping people with sports injuries, joint and muscle pain, post-surgery recovery and supporting people with longstanding pain and movement limitations. I bring together this expertise within Body Works to help clients move better, feel stronger and stay active.

I also work in the emergency department as an advanced practice physiotherapist and emergency clinical practitioner, assessing and managing acute injuries in the emergency department — a fast-paced and rewarding role. However, the calming environment of Body Works is always a welcome contrast and sanctuary to my other clinical role!

My Tool-Kit
I would describe my approach to physiotherapy as being holistic – I use an evidence based approach to assess and treat my patients, looking beyond the injury itself to find and address the root cause. I believe it is paramount to treat the whole person and I pride myself on doing this in a respectful and understanding manner. I specialise in the diagnosis and management of acute sporting injuries, with a special interest in hand and wrist injuries and achilles tendinopathy, helping people recover and get back to doing what they love.
I use a combination of hands-on physiotherapy, sports massage, therapeutic ultrasound, and tailored exercise programmes to promote recovery and long-term  strength.

Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll likely find me on the water—I’m a keen rower and race with Leicester Rowing Club across the country. I also love exploring the outdoors with my wife, Sophie, and our Cocker Spaniel, Rosie, who’s a bit of a celebrity in Knighton Park! I’m also a coffee connoisseur and love trying new blends — so I’m always up for recommendations!

Joe Lunn (BASRaT)
Sports Massage Therapist

My Story - My journey into Soft Tissue Therapy wasn’t a straightforward one. After growing up playing multiple sports and dealing with my fair share of injuries, I saw firsthand what good treatment could achieve—and where it often fell short. This sparked my interest in injury management and rehabilitation. Initially, I followed a different career path, stepping into the family business after finishing my A-levels.

But I soon realised my true passion lay in working hands-on with people, helping them recover and move better. That’s when I discovered the BTEC Level 5 in Soft Tissue Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage. Fourteen years later, I’ve never looked back.

My Tool Kit
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, from those managing everyday aches and pains, postural or sports related ailments to helping people deal with more persistent conditions like fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and sciatic symptoms. My approach focuses on relieving muscular tension and pain, improving movement, and helping people get back to the activities they enjoy.
Alongside my clinical training, my own experiences with sports injuries—both personally and through teammates—have given me a real understanding of the frustration that pain and restriction can bring. This has shaped the way I work, ensuring that every treatment is tailored to the individual. My goal is always to get people back to doing what they love—whether that’s sport, training, or just moving more comfortably day to day.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of my work as a soft tissue massage therapist, I’m also a rugby coach, working with players of all ages and levels. I stay active by training at the gym and taking on fitness challenges to support charities close to my heart. When I’m not coaching or in the clinic, I love spending time with my wife and daughters—and unwinding with a well-earned glass of red at the end of the day.

Libby Shorrock
Sports Massage Therapist | Student Physiotherapist

My Story - I’ve always had a passion for both sports and medicine, and my journey has taken me from the discipline of ballet to the fast-paced world of pitch-side sports care. As a dance teaching assistant, I loved helping others refine their movement, and that passion naturally evolved into my current path—supporting people in their recovery, mobility, and performance.

Since moving to Leicester, I’ve immersed myself in the sports medicine world, working as a pitch-side medic at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club. It’s a role that keeps me on my toes—where quick thinking and hands-on care are essential. Alongside this, I’m studying Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester, which has deepened my understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. I’ve also gained valuable experience working with NHS physiotherapy teams, refining my approach to injury management and recovery.
As a sports massage therapist, I work with a broad range of clients, from athletes to those simply wanting to move better. I love tailoring each session to individual needs—whether it’s improving mobility, easing tension, or supporting injury recovery.

My Tool-Kit
My approach to sports massage therapy is hands-on and holistic, combining my experience in pitch-side care, physiotherapy studies, and dance background. I aim to empower my clients by helping them understand their bodies and how to move efficiently. Creating a warm, supportive environment is key—after all, recovery isn’t just about the body; it’s about feeling confident in movement again.

Beyond the Clinic
If I’m not working or studying, you’ll probably find me outdoors. Growing up near the Peak District, I developed a love for adventure—climbing, fell running, mountain biking, and hiking. In the winter, I ski; in the summer, I sail and windsurf. I’m always up for trying new sports and love keeping active in the gym or through yoga. Travel is another passion of mine—I’m always looking for my next adventure!

Annabelle Forde
Pilates Instructor

My Story - Movement has been at the heart of my life for over 30 years. I studied at The Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London (now Trinity Laban), where I completed both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in dance. From teaching to performing, I’ve always been fascinated by the power of a healthy, free-moving body. It was Pilates that sparked my interest in the benefits of fundamental strengthening techniques which embodies fluid, healthy movement.

I qualified in 2000 as a Pilates Foundation comprehensive mat and equipment teacher, and in 2002, I deepened my expertise by training as a Gyrotonic® instructor. Teaching these methods has been an incredibly rewarding journey, helping people reconnect with their bodies, improve their posture, and move with greater confidence and ease.

My toolkit
Teaching Pilates and the Gyrotonic® method have formed an invaluable part of my life. For me, teaching is about communicating techniques which allow clients to move with confidence. I see first hand the significance of movement and postural techniques to support daily life and fully appreciate the joy of moving freely. I love helping clients discover how subtle changes in movement and posture can make a huge difference.
Whether working with athletes, dancers, those recovering from injury, or people simply looking to move with more confidence, I tailor my teaching to meet each client’s individual needs. My goal is always the same: to help people move better, feel better, and rediscover the joy of free movement.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of teaching, movement continues to shape my days. I stay connected to my roots by keeping up with contemporary dance performances and developing my own self-practice. I also love being outdoors—whether it’s watching my son play rugby and football (armed with a hot flask on chilly sidelines), spending hours on the golf range, or walking the course for a round of golf. And then there’s Corina, our wonderful rescue dog, so long walks and down time are also a firm family favourite.

Nick North
Pilates Instructor

My Story - With over 20 years of experience in health and wellbeing, my journey began as a fitness coach, personal trainer, and massage therapist. It was in the early 2000s, during my own practice of Yoga and Pilates, that I experienced their transformative effects firsthand—I knew I had found my true passion. That’s when my teaching journey began. Since then, I’ve gained advanced certifications in both Yoga and Pilates and have had the privilege of teaching and training thousands of people from all walks of life.

I’ve also spent a time delivering massage and Pilates at Leicester Tigers, adding to my understanding of movement in high-performance athletes.
At the heart of what I do is a desire to help others. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing people’s confidence grow as they improve strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.

My Tool-Kit
My approach blends Eastern and Western philosophies—combining science-backed movement with a more intuitive, holistic feel. I draw inspiration from different movement disciplines, including gymnastics, dance, and martial arts (with a special nod to my years training in Capoeira).
In both group classes and one-to-one sessions, I focus on balance—giving clients a strong, effective workout while ensuring they leave feeling calm and restored. I like to keep sessions playful, engaging, and informative, often weaving in breathwork and mindfulness. Every class is different, and I love the challenge of adapting and getting creative.

Beyond the Studio

When I’m not teaching, I’m often outdoors, hiking or running. The Lake District is a favourite escape—the scenery is incredible, and nothing beats fresh air and open space. I also love spending time with family and friends, making the most of any opportunity to switch off and recharge.
And when I’m not out in nature, you’ll find me at King Power Stadium—I’m a lifelong Leicester City fan and season ticket holder. Match days may not be the most relaxing experience, but the atmosphere (and a couple of pre-kickoff beers) make it all worth it!
